A New Classic: The Minimalist Sandal

I have been noticing these ankle-strapped sandals everywhere lately. I love the way they elevate casual basics like a pair of boyfriend jeans. Simple and sophisticated in design, they are elegant without detracting from a beautiful outfit.

Recently, I've become serious about paring down my wardrobe. I have a very small closet, so rather than keeping it overflowing with clothes and shoes to the point where it looks messy, I want it to be clean and organized, filled with only my favorite pieces. I truly believe that with less clutter, it's easier to focus on the items inside and put together new outfits.

Not only does having a smaller, more focused wardrobe simplify daily life; it also encourages investing in classic, quality pieces that are made to last and will never go out of style. These shoes are exactly the type of item I want to include in my new minimalist wardrobe. I'm having visions of pairing them with everything from deconstructed denim to my favorite black pants to a leather pencil skirt. Over-researching as always, I've found not only the most popular version of this shoe by Stuart Weitzman, but also a variety of alternatives at different price points. Now all that's left to do is pick one!
