A Bastille Day Dinner Party by Tara Guerard

Around this time last year I pinned some of these images on Pinterest and found myself recalling them this Bastille Day. This utterly charming little French-themed dinner party celebrated both Bastille Day and the 70th birthday of the hostess' father-in-law. Christine Jablon called upon event planner Tara Guerard to design the perfectly French fête set in her family's Charleston backyard. I always love the casual elegance of a backyard dinner party under twinkle lights and this one is no exception. The theme was applied subtly, with details like blue and white china, baguette menus, an antique buffet turned cheese station, and paper drink stirrers reminiscent of Bastille Day fireworks. The atmosphere is enough to delight any Francophile, and without an Eiffel Tower or French flag in sight! This party will definitely hold a permanent place in my inspiration folder! Happy (belated) Bastille Day to my French readers and my fellow Francophiles!
