August in Instagrams

Eventually I hope to start off my monthly Instagram post with something more creative than a cliche comment about how quickly the previous month flew by. Unfortunately, this is not that month. August truly felt like a blink of an eye! I start each month filled with new goals, fun plans, and vows to blog more, and then before I know it, life happens, and the month's over. As far as months go however, this last one was pretty wonderful! B started an exciting new job, my brother and his fiancee asked both of us to be in their wedding party, and we officially began the house hunting process. For the first time in a long while, I feel like everything's starting to fall into place. And I've definitely learned to be aware of these seasons, since life doesn't always work that way. My life is nowhere near perfect, but I truly feel so happy and thankful. Looking forward to September-- the beginning of a new season and my favorite time of the year! What was the highlight of your August? Did you fulfill all of your hopes for summer or is fall coming a little too fast for you?

  1. Hi there! I'm leaving for Paris with my husband in a few days, and I remembered loving your recaps of the honeymoon you spent there...totally can't find them now. Sure I'm just missing it, but would you mind giving a few pointers? Thanks so much!

    1. Hi Julie! I'm so glad that you enjoyed my Weddingbee recaps! And I'm extremely jealous that you're on your way to Paris! I'm definitely not a very knowledgable Paris expert, since we were only there for 4 days, but hopefully I can be a little bit helpful! We stayed at the Pullman Eiffel Tower, which was in the most perfect location! My highlights were our day trip to Versailles and visiting all the museums! (My favorite was The Musee d'Orsay.) I'm sorry I don't have restaurant recommendations. We ate pretty cheap and were always on the go. Honestly, everything we ate in Paris was delicious, even sandwiches from sidewalk stands... Definitely make time for tea at Laduree, or at least a few macarons! ;) Paris is the most amazing city! Our best memories were just wandering around, especially at night! Walk along the Seine, have a picnic in front of the Eiffel Tower! I hope you guys have the most wonderful time! Here are my recaps:

    2. I am on my iPad and for some reason it's not allowing me to type out the links! Go to www.weddingbee.com/author/turtle and then just go backwards until you find the honeymoon posts! Sorry about that! Let me know if you have any other questions! :)

  2. Thanks so much, Bri! Really appreciate the help. I'll definitely be talking my husband into macarons at Laduree :) How could a person skip that? Even if just for the packaging!
