If It Ain't Baroque-- Fix It!

It must have been a couple of years ago when I first spotted Prada's 'Baroque' sunglasses on the back of Vogue. Of course, I completely flipped out over them. The form! The lines! The shape! I'd never seen anything like them before. Unfortunately, I deemed them too beautiful, out of my reach, flat out impractical. Never even tried them on. Since then, I've admired them on so many different faces, in a variety of settings. My favorites-- Ashley OlsenChiara FerragniEmily Schuman. But naturally, as anyone with a good head on their shoulders would assure you, life isn't about Prada, or even sunglasses... so naturally, I moved on.

I'd been doing just fine until a couple of weeks ago, when I was casually browsing one of my favorite fashion blogs, Wendy's Lookbook, and spotted the 'Baroque' Cat's Eye sunglasses. At this point, I was done. I can't get them out of my head! And I'm not even the kind of person who spends money on sunglasses, certainly not one who splurges on them. But here I am, making a list of excuses why these need to belong to me. So far I've got:
  1. They're not really sunglasses, they're art.
  2. I still haven't spent my birthday money, and they would make a great late birthday gift.
  3. My eyes need to be protected from the sun, and Prada sunglasses should be more efficient than Target ones, right??
Two questions for you, my faithful blog readers. Can you please help justify this purchase for me by adding more excuses to my list? And which style do you prefer, the original round frames or the Cat's Eyes
