Kate's Dreamy Day

Photobucket

The September issue of VOGUE magazine gives a behind-the-scenes look into the beautiful Gatsby-esque wedding of supermodel Kate Moss.  As I not so patiently wait for my issue to arrive in my mailbox, these photos that VOGUE released yesterday are definitely holding me over.  Up until this point, I'd only seen random paparazzi shots.  I cannot get over the details of this wedding: from the idyllic twelfth century church that the ceremony took place in, to Kate's little posse of bridesmaids pageboys, to the Edwardian wicker sets sprinkled across the garden. Vintage Rolls-Royces... the Gloucester Cathedral choir singing "You Can't Always Get What You Want" at the ceremony... a jazz band playing "It Had to Be You" in the white marquee as guests wander to the reception... the wait staff lights votive candles that hang from fruit trees in jam jars... Victorian chandeliers and Chesterfield sofas surround the dining pavilion and dance floor... It's all just so classy and elegant, with just enough of a hint of rock and roll edge to make it cool. Definitely not another typical celebrity wedding.

"Just before she sets off, Kate requests 'a few words, a story to inspire her--she loves a bit of direction!' says (John) Galliano. 'I told her, 'You have a secret--you are the last of the English roses-- and when he lifts your veil he's going to see your wanton past!'" -VOGUE
